Using the wind to generate electricity for your home is going to provide you with savings, but most people want to know just how much?
Lets face it…savings are going to vary, simply because the amount of wind one location receives is going to be different than the next. This of course, is going to be a big determining factor in how much you can save.
But lets just say you save 10% on your electric bill, (a very conservative amount), and your monthly bill averages $200. That’s $20 a month with about a 10 month return on your investment, (assuming you spend $200 on your parts, which is about average).
Spend $3000 or $4000 on a commercial generator and you’re looking at more like a 3 year return on your investment!
I don’t know about you…but I think those numbers speak for themselves!
I’m seeing about a 30% savings on average and I couldn’t be happier!
So it’s important to understand that no one can say for sure how much “you” are going to save. The way I approached this is I felt that if I could save “anything”, I’d be money ahead in the long run. It gives me great satisfaction each month to know that I’m giving the electric company that much less!
